Guest guest
Can you tell I have some energy here? :):):) Liz V. YEAH !!!!!!!! So good to see you alive again, and full of some E!!! I may slap a patch on my butt too and do a couple of little curves with the OO......I think my Ins. may even cover the patches, and I'd have a constant flow of E, no dips:)).....better to fight those P surges with too, lol.Think the patch would keep a steadier E base, then can add the OOE for stress or making a cycle.....I know Laurel said they were smoooth:)). 1 patch lasted her I think 3 days??? All options to kick around:)) .......we're coming out of the woods girls )

Guest guest
I have been on the Climara patch for over a week now, plus the transdermal from Altmiller.I feel much better. I still have some issues but the anxiety is all gone now. I'm going to ask my doctor to prescribe the Estrderm patch as I know I need more than the .1mg that Climara gives. I also am changing my patch every 5 days instead of 7. I was on Double E from MS and my numbers got to 150. Where the heck did all that E go to? Not to mention all the other stuff in the cream? Why would I do cream now, if I'm going to do static dose (not real sure on that yet). when I can use a patch, slap it on my butt and away I go. I look back now pre WP and if I had maybe raised my E, nixed the DIM, the hot flashes and stuff might have gone away and I would still be a happy camper. Maybe even able to use a little P. I keep thinking about why we fear getting breast cancer from E dominance? Has it been proven that that is the way we get it????? I know tumors can be either E or P sensitive BUT I always ask WHY. I just remembered Madeleen saying her's was from copper toxicity. That makes much more sense to me than E dominance. I know I keep going back to the cancer I had and all the doctors, etc telling me that I got it due to E dominance, but again, how is that possible if I was using compounded P? And I ended up exactly where I ended up a few months ago. Anxiety, depression, out of commission for at least 2 months, NON FUNCTIONAL. That is NOT from E domince is it? Okay. sorry for my ramblings. Can you tell I have some energy here? :):):) Liz V. I The reason this is of note to the group is that her E use number is down with the patch, but her sense of getting the E is UP – WAY UP. The patch is 8 mg of transdermal E over 4 days. It is like doing 1mg BID except it is more because it actually gets into the blood. The outside numbers are useless – it is what really hits the system that makes for how we feel.
Guest guest
Very happy for the "happy woman", who I believe might be Liz! Congratulations Liz!!! Laurel, it would be interesting to know how the transdermal Estraderm patch is made up/consists of, exactly? Would that be on the wrapping, or could the online pharmacist tell ? Charlotte Call from a happy woman and good estradiol I got a call from a happy woman today. She has been going thru detox and has been very UNHAPPY. She has been using HRT estradiol in the syringes. Cue the groan from LJ. You know the same o’ same o’ PCCA HRT base in the syringes. I’ll post the ingredients in another note. Anyway my caller was a happy woman with happy voice. She has been using an Estraderm patch and she can hear her E!! She got it online. She promised me she would contact her doctor and discuss this and work on moving on down (over time) to a lower and lower E option if that is what is right for her after detoxing. The reason this is of note to the group is that her E use number is down with the patch, but her sense of getting the E is UP – WAY UP. The patch is 8 mg of transdermal E over 4 days. It is like doing 1mg BID except it is more because it actually gets into the blood. The outside numbers are useless – it is what really hits the system that makes for how we feel. I know. I can feel it and I did blood too. My ovary will kick out about 38pg/ml at the start of a cycle (I’ve been busy testing). The strongest Estraderm patch promises 70pg/ml and dang it if they aren’t right. I had on two patches and did blood a few days after the ovary only test and got Estradiol of 179 pg/ml. I thought that was wild that the numbers added up so nicely. How did the WP HRT cream E do in the Pepsi Challenge (still back at Mcs and franchises in my mind)? 16 lines of WP E applied in the morning and tested 4 hours later managed a whopping 209 and that includes my ovary likely kicking out at least 38 pg/ml. For my body the HRT cream is practically anti-hormone cream. I can take 16 mg of estradiol in HRT cream and convert it into the equivalent of 2 mg of estradiol thru a patch. And where the hell did the other 14mg of E go? Twilight Zone! I know I wasn’t hearing it. The method of getting your hormones makes a HUGE difference as to how you feel them and EVERY WOMAN is different. I find OO or an Estraderm patch a nice simple effective method right now. I can hear my E, Baby! And that OO is inexpensive. It is so cheap that almost all the bag ladies could afford BHRT with enough bottle returns if they could only afford the doctor’s visit. Now that is choice for women. If you look at the HRT ingredients and start learning what they do then it starts to make more sense. http://physchem.ox.ac.uk/MSDS/ Start with the Material and Safety Data Sheets. No – this info was from someone who does not post. (-: There is lots of info on Estraderm online as well as other patch systems. They are made of 17-beta-estradiol. Guest guest
Yes, Laurel , I agree with this. I have gotten my hands on some Oestrogel and L O V E it! I am using 1.5 mg BID and can really feel it. It goes on easily, soaks right in, and I can feel it in 5 minutes. Not a "slam, bam, thank you Ma'aam" kind of feel it, where it hits you and then is quickly gone, but nice and steady. One day I jumped out of bed and got going, and forgot to put on my morning dose until mid-afternoon, and was fine -- still going on my nighttime dose. On the MS stuff -- and also on Don's stuff -- I needed at least 3 - 4 mg BID to feel the same way. I am going to see my doctor about getting a patch and trying that also. I like having a few different options. Tricia I got a call from a happy woman today. She has been going thru detox and has been very UNHAPPY. She has been using HRT estradiol in the syringes.
