Guest guest
Hey Shay, I am a 46 year old female who has had FMS for 6 years. Winter is the toughest season But I am able to stay home. I exercise indoors on a tread mill and do 30 minutes of stretching which helps a lot. Advice: Keep all body parts warm and soak nightly in Epson salts massage yourself stay away from sugar as much as possible Keep fruit around for sweet craving eat balanced and small meals through out the day, shop by mail and avoid walking in the ice and snow. All of this helps. Lots of love and Gods blessing to you and yours around the holidays. Love Nettie in Chicago

Guest guest
The heat from the tanning bed is wonderful, especially after exercise. Use a good sunscreen, because of the risk of skin cancer. Also, make sure you clean the bed before you use it as well as after. A great way to totally relax. Guest guest
Well, I found out too much sun doesn't help one darn bit!! I got stuck out looking for my lost keys at the beach last Sunday (I'm on an island out in the Pacific) and I was sick as a dog by the time I found the keys and got home because I got way too much sun. Has me a little worried because the doc. mentioned that she wants to check me for Lupus and when I looked it up, I found that people with Lupus don't tolerate the sun. @#$@ Figures, all I need is another autoimmune problem. However, I don't have all the symptoms of Lupus, just having fibro. makes one sound like you have some of the symptoms of lupus,, so maybe that is all it is. Does anyone here have lupus as well as fibro?? Guest guest
<< Ive always had a problem with seasonal affective disorder so it made me curious. >> Hi ...of course be conscientious about your skin, but I have SAD as well, and was hospitalized last year for suicidal tendencies and thoughts and my doc told me that even if it is artificial light, that the " sun " whether you have your goggles on or not helps boost your seretonin level and will help with the depression as well. It has worked for me!!! Shay, Max, Samson, and all of the rescue crew... Guest guest
several years ago i went through a tanning phase. During that time i noticed that i wasn't hurting nearly as much. Ive always wondered if it was just a coincident or if perhaps in some way i was getting " more sun " even though i know its artificial. Ive always had a problem with seasonal affective disorder so it made me curious. I dont think my skin could live through that again though sjensengrc@... wrote: > The heat from the tanning bed is wonderful, especially after exercise. Guest guest
It sure makes more sense now why it made me feel so much better. I will have to go try it again for awhile and see what it does for me. I went and bought those light bulbs that are suppose to be full spectrum and put them where i usually sit. But a nice tan would sure be nice right about now! I hardly ever get a sun burn so im really not too concerned about that kind of skin problem, it just made my skin feel too much like leather even with good moisturizers. lol, its amazing what vanity can do *grin* PugHugs72@... wrote: > << Ive always had a problem with seasonal affective disorder so it made > me curious. >> > > Hi ...of course be conscientious about your skin, but I have SAD as > well, and was hospitalized last year for suicidal tendencies and thoughts and > my doc told me that even if it is artificial light, that the " sun " whether > you have your goggles on or not helps boost your seretonin level and will > help with the depression as well.
