A very sad thing for women, to feel their only option to feel decent (at least helf the month) is continuing with the WP and trying

:

Its not the only option. Get your hormones on line without a prescription on one of the off shore sites from England or France. They carry estradiol under the European name Oestral or some such spelling, as well as vaginal P. You know enough about dosing and symptoms to know how to titrate down your doses.

wonder how many women feel comfortable treating themselves or feel that they know enough

:

Do you live anywhere Boca Raton Florida? I know a pretty good physician down there?

TEENY TINY E does NOT cut it for menopausal symptoms. I was up to 5mg a day of E thanks to my doctor but I was STILL getting hot flashes and bleeding too early.

>>>>>>>, I hear ya on that BUT....we are still coming off all that stored P.....maybe we won't need as much when that P clears.....only time will tell :))

I can certainly understand this..it seems that even IF

they haven't spoken to

their doctor about getting on lower doses, they know that the only two

alternatives on the table for most doctors are the WP OR very tiny doses of E and all the P they

want...after feeling well on much higher doses of E, they hesitate to have it

taken away because of some perception that if the P phase is not high enough,

they will get cancer...A very sad thing for women, to feel their only option to

feel

decent (at least helf the month) is continuing

with the WP and trying to deal with the high doses the best they can.

, I believe you have nailed it!! This might be the secret to

the WP “success”. Some may have noticed the vehemence that has

come back by some women for protecting the WP. That is a quotable quote,

.

There

is a lot of rhetoric that the offshore stuff is bad quality, but I haven’t

heard any direct reports of it being bad.

Or they can ORDER the WP and use it the way they want,

you know. But Dr. Formby is advocating teeny tiny doses of E too. I

hate to tell these guys that TEENY TINY E does NOT cut it for menopausal symptoms.

I was up to 5mg a day of E thanks to my doctor but I was STILL getting hot

flashes and bleeding too early.

Scientists will advocate what is in the literature. If women make

a case that the literature is only addressing hot flashes and night sweats, but

not really restoring our brains to full kicker creative capacity then

eventually science will study optimal dosing.

I’m very encouraged by the BHRT studies right now. I know

they aren’t slamming the hormones, but it is getting studied!!! Did you

see the write up for the KRONOS study? They went right after the baloney with

the WHI study. And UT Tyler is running a study. Meanwhile NPR gives us the

pathetic story that we can do some deep breathing to deal with the hotflashes

of menopause while the greyness sets in. Some women never even get

HOTFLASHES!!! I wish this focus on HF would die. What about my BRAIN shutting

down!!!!!!!!

Laurel

Bioidentical hormone

replacement is being studied in academic medicine. We don't need to get a study

of the Wiley Protocol to support BHRT.

Kronos Longevity Research

Institute 5 year $12 million

study

Phoenix-based Kronos Longevity Research Institute (KLRI) has selected eight

national study centers for the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS).

Those centers include:

* Albert

Einstein College

of Medicine of Yeshiva University/Montefiore Medical Center

* Columbia University College

of Physicians and Surgeons

* Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women's Hospital

* Mayo Clinic College of Medicine (Rochester,

Minn. campus)

* University of California-San Francisco/Center for

Reproductive Health

3 year study announced

March 2005

Women ages 30-65 The purpose of

this study is to examine the effects of bioidentical hormone therapy cream on

improving the overall quality of life and reducing the risks of cardiovascular

disease in women between 30 and 65 years of age. C.H.O.I.I.C.E stands for

Compounded Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and Outcomes: Immune,

Inflammatory and Cardiovascular Effects in premenopausal, perimenopausal and

postmenopausal women.

This is mostly put out by drug companies and depends on where you buy it. Many of the products are made in the USA and shipped to overseas markets. Best places are England, Canada and France. I would stay away from Mexico, and other Eastern countries. Drugs are about half price in Europe.

Was that oral dosing? What form or product?

Do you mean estrogel? It's now available in the US.
