Guest guest
Hello, I am new to your community, and I am searching for answers, as you surely are. Do most of you get therapy from an ACT trained psychologist, or are you working on your therapy on your own, with the book and exercises? I am on disability due to my bipolar disorder, and I've pretty much given up on finding a therapist who will take medicare. So, that leaves me with my psychiatrist, who has me on lithium, depakote, xanax and prozac. My hands were shaking so much this morning I could barely put on makeup before a job interview. Sometimes I can't even use a keyboard (the lithium does it). My question is, has anyone had sufficient improvement using ACT that they were able to get off medication successfully?
