Hi all,

I have had the book for about two weeks now. I finished Chapter five

today. The " Mind Train " really caught my attention. I want to take a

moment to again thank for creating this Yahoo Group. I am

grateful to have found out about ACT in the article in Time Magazine

and today I was reading about Act again in an article that appeared

in todays Sunday Las Vegas Review Journal. I'm having the thought that

I don't have any questions for you guys today, but when I do, I know

where to go with them.

Isn't the Mind Train a great! As a Zen practitioner it's like this

terrific darhma metaphore. What's more, I find myself USING it

throughout the day. This is HUGE, because up until now I have found

it so hard to keep mindful awareness when I am off of the cushion.

I'll find myself, tensing my muscles, going into negative self-talk

and feeling REALLY strongly that I should go say " xyz " because that

person was WRONG and I need to confront them! Then all of a sudden

I get the flash of the mind train and I realize I am NO LONGER ON

THE BRIDGE but that I have fallen into one of the mining cars

labeled " make them wrong " and I have created this whole suffering

story.

Now if i can keep myself on the bridge when I go into the panic

vortex story ... anything is possible!

It's good to have other people on board with the book.
