Peggy, do you think if you had used more OO and more often you would have had better results??? I tried the OO and found I needed to use it every 4hrs. and needed more of it to work. Maybe by the time you did your labs, you were low, and ready for more....seems the OO may not hangout in our fat long....no binding chems lurking, lol.....so more and more often, may or may not be the key there. I hope the OO girls out there will see your results, and keep that oil flowing :-)))) keep us posted, good try.

hi

just wanted to let you know that after almost 11 months of using wip

hormones my blood levels are 79 for estradiol drops for day ll and

using two drops BID extra per day and for progesterone 1.7 for day day.

I have switched to MP hormones and will be testing them soon.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the results of the WIP

hormones. I initially used them because their price was so much

cheaper than others I checked out. But you get what you pay for once

again.

My doctor has concerns because I have had thickening of my uterus

also. It could be caused by dribbling effects of E.

,

Just to clarify MP stands for Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, sorry for

not clarifying earlier.

I did the bloodwork 4 hours after application of olive oil (by the

way this bloodwork cost nearly $500 to have done at local

hospital!!!! Still waiting to resolve this issue with insurance).

I also tried spreading application throughout the day; never feeling

like hormones stayed with me. As I indicated, I added 2 drops bid

throughout the month, would also use extra drops to stop headaches.

So I guess it comes down to how much is enough? I would really like

this protocol to work. I very much want to find a stable level

where I don't feel need to constantly do blood work. I don't have a

problem with having to tweak doses; just want to find that plateau.

I was never able to maintain a 28 day cycle on WIP hormones. Last

cycle was only 21 days!! Tried adjusting E and P to no avail.

I'm giving the MSP hormones about three months, testing blood and is

still not where I should be I'll have to seriously consider whether

to continue this protocol. As I mentioned my doc is concerned about

uterine thickening, she blames this on the estrogen.

With the exception of these websites there really is no one to go to

with concerns. Med professionals are not really up on this nor seem

particularly supportive. So thanks for all your responses as we

continue to share our stories/thoughts/concerns.

Peggy...Thanks for the explanation. I'm thinking if the oo isn't even

holding 4 hours and drops you to the 70s then it's got to be causing

flucuations all day long. I tried oo and really like it but didn't

blood test that month.

I'm out now and back on MS or MP stuff. I just started with a new

doctor that here's hoping will be easier to experiment with different

places and bases. She's on cyclical E and is presently on Bill

Atlmiller's (sp?) $300/month stuff. She raved about yesterday when we

talked. I don't want to go that expensive route unless there's no

choice. She's gonna write the script of oo for me and i'll give it an

honest try of 1 month and test to see. But she also said it didn't

work for her either.

Anyhow you're rigth this is the only place there is to try and figure

this stuff out. Vliet's book help a lot though with the why's of it all.

Bye

I was on WIP hormones for over a year before switching to WP in Sept of 2003. Originally I used SYP and after I crashed during the summer with the switch in base I changed to MS because Susie certified the pharmacy and I wanted someone overseeing the product I was using. AFter only a few months on MS my E2 was 476 for the first time in years on day 12. My E2 on day 21 was in the 300's and my P was too low. My P is still lagging but I am bleeding for 5 days each month and have been all along. I am on double E and original P, along with Testosterone BID and cortef 5 mg. X 4. The last two items were added in Sept 2004 which helped tremendously. Last month I added 2 lines of p to the last two weeks of my cycle and my period came two days late, but the spotting I had before was less. I felt horrible however so I am still experimenting with my P. I had an ultrasound after the first year on the protocol and my fibroids had gotten smaller, breasts are less lumpy, and all other blood levels were great. I am more alert, sleeping better and more energetic. I am eating a higher protein, some good fats and little to no sugar and carbs diet, which also helped. I am also going to sleep earlier when I can. My E2 runs out by about 4 pm and sometimes I add 2 lines at that time to get me through the day. In addition I may need more when I am stressed.

My advice is to read what others have done, ask lots of questions and keep readjusting until you get the lab results you need. Also, pay attention to how you feel. Good luck!
