Guest guest
Hi , and : As far as I know from women who take the high recommended levels of P (above 4 l) also have to raise their E levels. Almost all of the women on the WP were told by Susie to take more E because of different undesirable symptoms. Nobody had an idea that lowering the P might be the solution. In my own - tentative - logic: the more P you take, the higher the P the more E is needed to "get through". When you're P dominant - have a build-up of it - your P continues to block part of your estrogen, that's why you may have to still take a good to maybe higher dose of E to make up for that hidden P-action. A case "in Point" may be this: I told my doctor that my nipple (red) area has increased in a scary way, to literally 2 inches in diameter, although I had only been using l line of P (on the breasts, to prevent pain and swelling (that usually ocurs with the P) this last P-phase, with 4 lines E... He said that "that's because it blocks your estrogen". Now if the P does that - very visibly - in the breasts, it must do that all over the body: blocking E where it can, when you've been taking too much or have a build-up... I experienced "formication" the 2 nights before I got my (first)period, in the genital area. Rubbed in some E, no effect, rubbed in some more, the "crawling" disappeared after 15 minutes. It is something that fibromyalgia-people (like me) experience a lot in acute phases, (but I've got it mostly under control now due to the right nutritional supplements). So could we say this crawling feeling is like an autoimmune (histaminic)response in the body that we now can help with E? (Just an attempt by a layperson to make "common sense" associations, I'm sure it's too simplistic...) Hope you're feeling better , so you can go on your cruise! Guest guest
Ha! Yes fornication would be better than FORMICATION. Yes I've decided to go back to my 100 mg a day of P for days 14-28. It's the E phase I haven't figured out what to do about. I must be P dominant because I was tall, skinny and had no breasts when I was younger. So I must need a lot of E. My allergies are OUT of control. I'm taking antihistamines every day. And now, today, I got a bad rash on my finger (dermatitis) that is driving me insane. I need to go onto the OO but fast. I just wrote to my doctor to call in the prescription. Now I hope I don't have to convince him about the OO. I don't want to stop the MS creams though until I get my OO because what would happen if I suddenly stopped everything? I don't want a period at this time right before my cruise! > Hi , and : > As far as I know from women who take the high recommended levels of P (above 4 l) also have to raise their E levels. Guest guest
Hi , hi Madeleen, Lynn, , , seems we are presently all itching - did we make an agreement, eh? Bad choice! After I got my period, I had a good night's sleep; this last night was a lot of waking again with very little sleep and - itching again...not as bad as sometimes before, but still bad enough, after maybe 4 hours total of napping from exhaustion, this morning feeling like run over by a truck. I had taken 4 lines of E yesterday, felt good all day - to bed at midnight -( bad girl, there's too much "homework" to do on our RL but I feel it's necessary). Took 4 lines E - thought I needed it, against my own graph plan (2 lines); when I couldn't sleep after 3.30am,and started to itch, I rubbed 1 line into neck. No effect. More itching. No sleep til 8am, then 1 1/2 hours, that's all. This, while I'm waiting for my package from WIP with oo, hoping to get better on those, like Madeleen did. I'm tall and thin too, so P-dominant. Therefore I must need the E, but how much is enough or too much ? We've all taken 3-400mg P on the WP for awhile. It must still be the "buildup" in our systems... On the other hand there are studies that say too much E produces the bad effects in the P-phase. It's 14 pages long and my eyes were hurting over reading it after 12am last night...Sounds convincing but who knows... By now our bodies may be reacting with "allergies to" the 5 chemicals we/I've used for 6 months with the MS cream (i.e. nothing to do with the hormone dosage..?, and I've gotten full of tiny bumps all over already), - so the drops would be the answer. Anyone on drops having hives and itches ??? I'm not doing any E today if I can help it - if I don't feel "ungrounded" all of a sudden like yesterday around noon when I took 4mg E. Have a good day, ladies, - my days are always better than the nights... Charlotte Re: E and P balances Ha! Yes fornication would be better than FORMICATION. Guest guest
Is it possible with all these sleep disturbances ( I didn't get to sleep until after 3 and I am usually out like a light by 10 the latest), that the excess P in our systems is turning into cortisol and keeping us awake? > > Hi , and : > > As far as I know from women who take the high recommended levels > of P (above 4 l) also have to raise their E levels. Guest guest
M<akes sense, s o m e thing turns into cortisol to keep us wired-up or awake. Maybe it's the need for melatoninand sleep that makes us itch for it, the longer I'm awake the more I itch, short of self hynosis when I "go on strike" trying to ignore the itching... Guest guest
, It was explained to me and I have read it (Dr Lam's site?) that progesterone can convert to corisol or something like that. I KNOW the anxiety I had was caused from the P. Interesting since I haven't been using any P for a while, I fall asleep easy. I'm still not sleeping through the night but I can fall back asleep. And I don't seem to be having the shakiness in the evenings before dinner like I had been having for months. The key is definitely balance. I was on Double E the month I crashed and think between that and the build up of P over the months pushed me over the edge.
