Guest guest
Hi Del I was very interested in the Mannitol trials when they were first being talked about some months back. After a fair bit of enquiring I was told then they would only be held in Sydney, Melbourne and one city in New Zealand. From memory Mannitol had an unexpected spinoff which was important to us as it caused thinning to the mucus in our lungs. So I suppose all we can do is wait patiently for the outcome. FYI - there is other important research being done at Macquare University and this is to do with stem cell growth for re-generation of lungs. I believe that these trials are possibly heading towards the end of the first year of a two year period. The aim of these trials being to hopefully rid people of such things as cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, emphesymas etc - wouldn't that be great :-) Graham
