School of Visual Arts MPS Art Therapy Department and Visual Arts

Foundation present

Visual Reflections, juried art therapy exhibition

Exhibition: March 27-30, 2008

Opening Night Benefit and Reception Thursday, March 27, 2008, 6:00-

9:00 p.m.

The School of Visual Arts MPS Art Therapy Department launches its

first juried SVA MPS Art Therapy Exhibition, Visual Reflections and

Spring Benefit on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Proceeds will support AT

Focus: Creative Partnerships [aka Special Projects], a unique program

that provides free group art therapy services to community-based

organizations in New York City as well as additional professional

training for students with financial need.

GUIDELINES

• Eligible: art therapists, SVA MPS Art Therapy faculty,

and students currently enrolled in an art therapy program.

• Submissions should embody the theme of Visual Reflections.

• $35 per entry, final deadline February 13, 2008. $25 for

early submissions no later than February 6, 2008. No entry fee for

SVA MPS Art Therapy students and faculty. Up to 3 images may be

submitted per entry. Entry fees non-refundable. Notification February

21, 2008. All artists submitting work receive free admission to the

benefit.

• Check must be made payable to: Visual Arts Foundation.

SUBMIT:

__ Three (3) images per entry. Digital format on a CD-ROM. They

should be 1240 x 1240 max. pixels, JPG

format, and saved onto the root directory of a PC-formatted CD, not

into folders.

__ Slide list: For each image, list media, dimensions, year, title,

and description.

__ Resume/Bio

__ Artist statement. (250 words max.) optional

__ $35 Entry fee. Check or money order payable to Visual Arts

Foundation.

Mail application to: Visual Reflections, MPS Art Therapy Department,

School of Visual Arts , 209 East 23 St., New York , NY 10010.
