Hi June, you're having a rough time--i sure know what youre talking

about--my lungs bleed with infection and i get a nasty pain in my ribs(not

pleurisy) its like an alarm saying ive flared up --we get to know our lungs

better than the drs --hope the tetracycline works--at least its pretty broad

spectrum so will cover a number of bugs--doesnt do much for me --think my

pseudomonas is resistant to a lot of the common ABs--keep up the drainage so

the damn bugs have nowhere to breed---hope to hear youre feeling a lettle

better soon --Del

June,

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard

time again. I just read an article about

chocolate which said that it contains antioxidants so keep eating—it’s

good for you. I just heard the news

about Reeve. It’s very

sad, he was an inspiration to many.

Need to

have moan!!!!

Hi all, need to let off a bit of steam. Just got

back from my doctor(not my nice

lady doctor, she is booked for a week) he was

really offhand about the fact I've

had a chest infection for 12 days. Told me it

wasn't a chest infection but an

allergic reaction asthma. I'm coughing up yellow

gunk and blood, rasping with

every breath and got the tell tale pain in my

ribs. If that is not a chest infection I

don't know what is. First of all he told me to

phone the hospital to bring my

appointment forward but when I said I couldn't

wait that long he reluctantly

gave me new antibiotics. Tetracycline for 10 days,

84 tablets in all so a hefty

dose. I hope these work so I can go back and say I

told you it was an infection!

Feel so low today, another bad night, feel like I

can't take much more.

Indulging in my top comforters, a large glass of

, a bar of Cadbury's

chocolate and a large cup of coffee. All very bad

for you but boy do they make

me feel better. I've got to the stage where, after

trying to eat healthily and do

all the right things most of my life, but still

afflicted with the beastly Bronch

,where I don't give a damn any more if

something is good or bad for me. I

don't want to live to be 84 like my dear Mum who

is fit and active. From now

on it's live life for today and don't worry about

tomorrow. This disease has

changed my whole outlook on life!

Did you hear the sad news about Superman

Reeve, only 52, just

a little older than me. I hope he has gone to a

better place where he can walk

again, he was such an inspiration to everyone with

illness to fight back.

Tomorrow I will fight back but today I'm gonna

wallow in self pity!!!!!!Love to

you all especially those having a rough time like

me. June in London

Sorry to hear you got a missery for a doctor, maybe they are one of those that doesn't like to be told that you think you know whats wrong and worse if you have gotten it right and they have ot be 'in control' so pooh pooh your suggestion, had a few of those before, proved right on all those particular occations. do hope the anti biotics clear youup quickly, couging up stuff of that colour does sound like infection for starters.

as for C Reeves it is sad, but then he might have played superman, but he was a 'superman' in his own right after that accident, trying to walk and do thinks again, sad he never got the chance to carry it all on and that maybe what he pioneered for after his accident, will go on to gain help for others that end up like he did. so I say his attitude and that dispite what life throw at him, made him a 'superman' in himself. do hope he is pain free, walking and as normal on.

take care

June, I have actually had a complete and total hissy fit in my

doctor's office before. It worked beautifully, too. They feel very

guilty when they think they are the sole cause of you hacking up a

lung in their office (after you just screamed at them, B*****ng them

out up down and sideways and using up every spare bit of oxygen you

have to do it). It tends to prompt them to action. Feel free to

smack the docs around a bit- they need it once in a while. ;)

I hope you feel better soon.

Hi June, Tetracycline always worked for me. (So does the brandy). its always upsetting when you can't see your usual Doctor, I reakon we know best what we need and its good when you get one who agrees or will let you do it. I can understand your frustration I think you need to get in the middle of a paddock and scream, makes one feel so much better, but I doubt if you would find a paddock in London. cheers, Doreen M

Hi all, need to let off a bit of steam. Just got back from my doctor(not my nice lady doctor, she is booked for a week) he was really offhand about the fact I've had a chest infection for 12 days.
