I work a full school day and then interpret for the boys' soccer team after school three, four, or five days a week, and often don't walk in the door at night until 6:30, 7pm, or even later! After shoving something to eat down my throat, showering, and getting ready for school the next day, it's bedtime, and I haven't the energy or time to log on. I'm spending this morning catching up on postings in all my groups. My sympathies to all who have been ailing recently. I take a multi-vitamin, zinc, and vitamin c to try and help the immune thing. I'm not sure how much it helps, but I did get a cold last week, and it turned out to be a mild one that did not become a sinus infection for a nice change of pace, so who knows. June, I hadn't heard of using ginseng for immunity. I might try that as well. I tried echinacea for a while, but then it stopped working, so i stopped using it. Also, my doctor told me that it could cause problems for people with outdoor allergies, which I have. *shrugs* I never noticed that while on it, but that doesn't mean it would never happen, I suppose.I am going for my flu shot this week, hopefully. What an odyssey this was!! My PC isn't giving them out at all, so I had to call my town health department. They said if I got a certified letter from my doctor detailing all my physical problems, they would give me one, but only this week on Wednesday, 9-11am. Um, hi, I work, do you have after school hours? No. So, after hanging up and cursing a blue streak, I called my pulmonologist, whom I have an appointment with in early November. Yes, they are giving them out, "But you'd better come in sooner than that appointment, because we might run out by then." SIGH. So I have to leave school early one day this week and hightail it down there to get the stupid shot. I swear, there are some times I just hate people.Have a good week!!KarinPost your free ad now! Guest guest
I'm 32. I do take time for myself, when I can- like yesterday and today, I've barely done a freakin' thing, and am loving it. No, actually, I did mega laundry and have cleaned some, but, eh, don't really feel like doing anymore right now. Maybe later. I'm also thinking about going for a walk later. It's pretty nice outside right now. Karin > > Hi, all...I have been working a lot the past few weeks. Guest guest
I think you are doing wonderful! In Tibetan Buddhism, relationships are considered "scorchers" spiritually. They can lead to fast spiritual progress. Or, as I have sometimes heard, disaster. I am very hesitant about relationships. I have not drank in over three years. I think that romantic relationships can sometimes lead to drinking. But you seem stronger than me. So congratulations for fast spiritual progress. Intimate relationships are not one of my values. I don't like pain. :)See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
