Guest guest
Hi Folks, Happy New Year to all. Well, I finally went to see the doctor to have my oozing "sore" looked at. It was a disappointment -- I tried to give the primary care doc my EN background and he kept interrupting me. He was basically rushing me so he could see his next patient -- this after he made me wait for over 30 minutes. He was not interested in my EN history, I don't even think he though I had EN as that was one of those days when my feet were less inflammed. I did have some swelling and redness around the wound area and there was oozing. He told me it was just a scratch that was healing, to keep it clean, covered and to return if pain ensues. He gave me no meds, no dressing instructions, none whatsoever. Needless to say I was not happy with that. I do plan to see another doctor next week as now the wound has blood mixed in with the yellow stuff. I feel very little pain -- some stabbing pain once in a while but really tolerable. It's just not healing and I am convinced that it has mutated to PG sores. I did not know that people with EN can get PG sores if their skin suffers any sort of trauma such as scratches, bumps, etc. Mine came about due to my scratching and I think a bump I got from my friend's two dogs who were playing under the table. I'll keep this forum updated on my condition. Also, if you have EN, try to prevent any trauma to your skin. Avoid scratching and be careful that you don't traumatize the skin. Good luck and God bless to all. Best, Flo There is no way I could put apple cider vinegar on my PG sores.OWIE! Sandy ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ I have read that some people just soak the affected area w/it and dont drink it at all....
