Since EN IS NOT BEING ACTIVELY RESEARCHED, please take this opportunity to make a generous donation to our "EN Research Fund" to find a cure for this painful disorder.http://www.geocities.com/erythema_nodosum/donate/index.htm Also, please visit our new Erythema Nodosum Websitehttp://www.geocities.com/erythema_nodosum/ We intend to make it the best EN website on the net.Your case history sounds a lot like mine. Now I am 60 and have had many, many more flare ups. If we don't fund our own research I fear many will wind up like me. At least you are young enough to where any research we fund may help you live a normal life.Welcome to our Friendly Erythema Nodosum Group!Love,Chronic Idiopathic EN since 1968**********Amy Dubs Case History12/31/071. Your name and age: Amy, 282. Your location: Minnesota3. Your email address: a_dubs84@...4. Your Yahoo ID: a_dubs845. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.:When I was 11 years old I had a bad case of strep throat. A week later I started getting bumps on my shins and knees. I woke up one morning and couldn't walk-the bumps were so large they were covering both legs and knees. I went to the doctor that day and was immediately admitted to the hospital. It took a weekend to figure out that it was EN, after a biopsy and a visit from several doctors. They were surprised at the severity because of my age. Anyway, they ended up treating it with steroids which made me an emotional roller coaster but they eventually went away. Since then I have gotten them maybe 10 times, always on the shins, ankles, or knees, never as severe as the first and they go away on their own with no treatment-but they hurt and I hate them!! 6. List any other health conditions. 7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness: just ibu profin-takes away the pain 8.
