Hi everyone, sorry I haven't had time to post the last few days, been really

busy. Just wanted to share with you all that I am off the Prednisolone for the

first time in months, off antibiotics and everything else except my new miracle

drug Phyllocontin. Despite the side effects, headaches, this is the

breakthrough I've been waiting for. I have almost stopped coughing and for

the first time today in 2 years I did not cough anything up this morning. I just

cannot believe I can breathe again, now I'm desperate not to get another infec

tion. My family keep saying to me " you're not coughing! " it will be interesting

to see how long I can stay well?

Laughed at the posts about kids leaving home, my 24 year and 22 year old

sons still are at home due to sky high London property prices. Plus my 17

year old Godson is living with us as his parents have split up! My house is

manic and they drive me nuts hogging the bathroom but I know what you

mean about empty nest. When my 27 year old went to live with his girlfriend in

January, I missed him so much. Children are a blessing even if they drive you

crazy at times. I think if you let them go with your love and support they

always keep in touch. A friend who clung to her kids rarely sees them as they

wanted to break free from Mum.

Anyway just wanted to share with you all I feel so happy today, being able to

breathe is just the best thing Much love

June

Hi June,

I am glad that you are feeling better and that you have almost stopped coughing as a result of your new miracle drug. Can you take a medication to help with your headaches? Do you think that this side effect will go away after you have been on the medication for a while?

I agree with you about passive smoking. Fortunately where I live smoking is not permitted in public places. I can smell smokers from a distance and have to move away from them. I also have a problem with many scents and exhaust fumes. I do not use any scented personal products or household cleaning products as they also bother me. I hope you can find a way to avoid cigarette smoke as much as possible.

Love, Norma

Hi, I too have bronchiectasis and live in Australia. Does phyllocontin have

anything to offer for bronchiectasis without the asthma? Cheers, Jim.
