Hi, ! You had asked me a couple of months ago if I would

become a resource person for the group. I was very hesitant and

still am as I am so busy that I don't make it here often. However,

upon looking at the list of other resource persons and seeing that

their e-mail addresses are listed, I guess it would be okay as long

as people e-mail me their questions or if you want to alert me via e-

mail if there is a question you think I need to address. I am not

set to receive e-mails of the posts as I receive way too many e-mails

as it is and probably wouldn't look at them unless something caught

my eye. Would this work?

Meanwhile, here is a very good resource for those interested in

hypothyroidism. You will not likely find any references to EN (I

have not read the whole thread, though I plan to), but there is much

discussion of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which is an autoimmune

disorder. Nonstickpam, the thyroid patient advocate on the site has

Hashi's and a number of other AI disorders. I do not know if she has

ever experienced EN. This is from a website called Low Carb Friends

of which I am a member (username=Kona Sunset). You can read without

joining, but you cannot post a question without joining.

Shomon is also a thyroid patient advocate and has much

information at about.com, including a forum and info on top thyroid

docs:

http://thyroid.about.com/

's own website (also has info on top thyroid docs):

http://www.thyroid-info.com/

Here are a couple of other good sites to check out:

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/

http://brodabarnes.org/

Hope this is helpful. I do pop in from time to time, just not often

enough to answer questions on the forum unless I am alerted that they

are there. Besides, I can give some basic advice, but Pam and

are both much, much more knowledgeable. :-)

Blessings to all for a pain-free 2008!

Hi Betty,

To be perfectly honest, I don't know if many of our Group Members

avail themselves of our Resource Members. What happens is that a

question comes up and if no one has experience and if it is a topic

with a resource member on our list, I advise contacting them

personally with the words " erythema nodosum question re:________ " .

If you get an email like that you will know it is from one of our

members with a thyroid question.

That said, few of us are medically trained and all advice is strictly

from our own experience. Thyroid problems are fairly common and you

may get a few more questions than the other resource members, so if it

gets to be too much, just let me know.

I'll add you to our resource members list and let's see how it works

out. ok?

Love,

idio. EN '68
