A much better day

Hi June,

I know what you mean about having a good day and then the bad ones come. It is hard to understand and I continue to try to figure out what made one day a good day and another one a bad day. I think that it is just that way with this disease. I think that the weather affects me. Today I am having a good day as I have stayed indoors all day. The humidity is low and the temperatures this summer in Texas have been cooler than normal.

I have been listening to a lot of Elvis music this week. I remember where I was when I heard that he had died. My husband and I and some friends saw him at the International Hotel in Las Vegas in 1971. We tried to get tickets to one of his last concerts in Ames, Iowa when we were living in Iowa but we were told that his fan club had bought all of the tickets. I have been to Graceland twice. My husband's parents lived near Nashville, Tennessee for a few years, and Memphis was on our route to their house. I have several boxes of memorabilia that I have collected for many years.

I have been enjoying my new bed. It is nice to not feel achy when I get up in the morning. We have had hurricanes in the Gulf area in Texas, but we live about four hours inland from where they have hit. I believe that Becki is in Florida, but may not have been in the area that sustained the most damage. Hopefully, she is safe.

Love, Norma

Hi everyone, had a really nice day today, been to a boot sale and cooked

dinner for all my family 10 to roast dinner! So much better today although

starting to wheeze a bit now it is evening. I keep telling myself if my lungs

are

so bad how come on a good day like today I can breathe almost normally?

Today you would hardly know I have lung damage, why can't I be like this all

the time?

Norma thank you for being my friend and support in this battle, I so

appreciate your continued love and support. I was so interested to hear about

your sons playing guitar, my eldest plays keyboard, my middle son drums and

my husband electric guitar. We love music in this family it's a big part of my

life

Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley, I love his

music, one of my ambitions is to travel to Graceland and visit the places dear

to Elvis. If I ever get to do it, hopefully with my 21 year old son who

adores Elvis music, we may just manage to get to Austin as well, it would be

so good to meet you!

How did your new bed work out last night, did you sleep any better for it?

Saw Florida on the news tonight with those awful Hurricane winds, I've been

to Miami and can't imagine how frightening that must be to be going through

that .Hope no one in our group lives there?

Love to everyone - June
