I am reading " Solving the MS Mystery " by Dr. Hal Huggins. Here is a

brief summary of some things I learned tonight, but without all the

explanations why or why not:

Most of the essential minerals are very important to be taken in

their natural form, but not as a purchased supplement in pill or

capsule form. That means to get your vitamins and minerals from

vegetables and other things you eat, not out of a bottle of pills.

Huggins says NOT to buy the following supplements: calcium,

cystine, glutathione, NAC, selenium or vitamin B-12 if you have MS.

They do very BAD things to your body chemistry and some of them

could cause seizures. B-12 supplementation causes a deficiency of

folic acid, which in turn causes symptoms that mimic mercury

toxicity. B-12 supplementation after amalgam removal converts

inorganic mercury to methyl-mercury, which is 100 times more

neurotoxic. DO get those things in their complete natural form by

eating meat, fruits and vegetables. Lettuce, butter and eggs are

good sources of calcium. Steak is high in B-12. If you are trying

to detox mercury you must eat protein.

He says NOT to use EDTA, DMPS or chlorella.

He says DO use DMSA, but only in doses of 25 to 50 mg every other

day.

While doing mercury detox use vitamin C every day in doses almost up

to bowel tolerance (diarrhea). Buy it only in sodium ascorbate

form, NOT as ascorbic acid. Vitamin C enters the cells that have

mercury, lead or other heavy metal toxins and triggers the cell to

make glutathione, which attaches to the mercury atom and escorts it

all the way out of the body through bowel elimination.

To be continued,

Duncan
