Guest guest
hi pamela and welcome to our group. this is the place to ask all your questions and get a selection of good answers. most of us are experts as we've had to do our own research in order to survive this monster. i am spouse/caregiver to roger who has bronchiectasis as well as genetic/non smokers emphysema. he is 61 years old and was diagnosed when he was 55. roger is very disciplined in doing twice daily therapy-inhalers, flultter valve and postural drainage as well as walking and being active. it's vital to clear the secretions from the lungs/bronchial tubes so that they don't become infected. bacteria love a warm dark moist environment and so you need to clear the mucous. i think you will learn a lot here and please don't be afraid to ask what you might think is a stupid question! please let us know the outcome of your tests. we're here to listen and to help. i live in canada. jennifer Pamela wrote: Hello,My name is Pamela, I'm 53 years old and have asthma. I work in a bldg. with mold contamination and it is suspected that my asthma is progressing to severe asthma or bronchiectasis; as I seem to get sick very easily. On Thursday I go for a chest xray and cat scan of the thoracic and lungs to make this determination. There will be a comprehensive pulmonary function test about a week later to make the final diagnosis or see if anything has changed.I wanted to join your group for any information on this puzzling disease I may have and to meet you and get your input.PamelaPost your free ad now!
