You have not failed by a long shot. Look at all you have accomplished in this short 5 years. I have had this for just over 1 year. I do not look at it as though you failed. We as a group have failed.

I wish you good luck on your book and what ever else you attempt. I still wish to met you someday I am down your way. You are an inspiration to me.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. One day this list will sit back and wonder why they don't have research on EN, and then stop and think..."I could of been a part of it for less then $20.00. Less then a cup of coffee for 1 month."

Perhaps people feel that this is a scam. Trust me, I got the letter from NORD for my tax deduction for my contribution. It also made my CPA question what is NORD, and why are you donating to them. I have co-worker using the Goodsearch for their online searching. I use it for everyday searches, for places I know how to get to and find.

I am a real person, with a real puzzler of an ailment. I was a bit hesitant to donate at first, but I am secure in knowing I did the right thing. I am almost 49 and I can not even think of having this for the rest of my life and suffering like the rest of you, especially .

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Just $20.00 each will get us going. I have given up so much more then a cup of coffee a day for a month with EN, Haven't you?

Dear Group,Today marks the 5th Anniversary of our Free Yahoo EN Group and my 40th year of having chronic Idiopathic EN.I like to look back on this day and see what was accomplished for the past year and give you my vision for the future.Our membership continues to grow. We have close to 2,000 EN/PG members now. Five yrs. ago we only had a handful. Our membership grows on the average of at least one new member per day [making up for attrition for any reason]. The EN Group is one of the largest in the Yahoo Groups "Diseases and Conditions" Category. and her friend Ron set up our EN Website . continues to work as our webmaster and sends our EN Group encouraging and thought provoking Quotes. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for us!Since EN is NOT being researched to find answers to our many questions including how best to treat EN and how to cure it, we have set up the Erythema Nodosum Research Fund through NORD [National Org for Rare Diseases]. To date, only a bit over $1,000 has been donated to the fund--mostly by fewer than a dozen or so EN Group members. I thank those who have made a donation. It shows you want to do more than complain and are willing to fund the research needed. But NORD needs $35,000 to begin the process of finding the researchers and at the rate of the funding, we will not make it in our lifetimes. Not just mine, but any of our lifetimes. I am sorry about this, but I am being honest with you. There is no reason why the EN Group cannot turn this around. But my and Debbie's begging has fallen on deaf ears for the most part.When I founded the EN Group I had visions of getting the research we needed, and I did all in my power to make this a reality. But I have failed miserably after a half decade of effort . I am moving on to other projects. I am currently writing a book. It is coming along beautifully. Here is the synopsis:The Doodle Door is written in the tradition of Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, and will appeal to children of all ages, including adults who love and live with cats. Written nearly entirely in rhymed verse it is about four cats, The Doodle Dudes, with very different personalities who find themselves sharing a home. We see life through their eyes, which mixes reality with a healthy dose of whimsy. The cats, in spite of their differences learn ways to get along and come to terms with the death of Walter, the senior member of the Doodle Dudes. Life lessons are gently interjected to teach children how to deal with their differences and sorrow. Although The Doodle Door is written for children, it will resonate with adults. While children read about the Doodle Dudes, laugh at their antics and come away with a lesson or two, adult readers will find a few nuggets of humor as well. Adults wishing to introduce children to books and poetry would form a primary group of buyers for The Doodle Door. The elements of whimsy, humor and mischief combine with some genuine life lessons, such as coping with bullies, getting over one's fears, even accepting the death of someone we love, will appeal to adults, while children will love reading about The Dudes misadventures, close escapes and sibling rivalry. I will continue to moderate the EN Group, but due to the effort I am putting into my book, you will see less of me. Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I would donate in a heart beat if

I could. However, my children and I were left impoverished and live

far, far, below the poverty level and it's just not possible right

now.

If things ever get better, you can bet that I'll be making a donation

as I HATE not knowing how to control it or why it happens.

Tomorrow I have my first opportunity to go to the doctors for free

and can have any and all tests. Any suggestions on what I should ask

for?
