Guest guest Posted February 11, 2008 Report Share Posted February 11, 2008 NYC Expressive Arts Studio Presents: Inde-Script-Able Places: Living between cultures and conflicts A Workshop in the Arts & Social Change with MacLeod, Artist and Social Change Advocate ________________________ Sunday, March 9 10am-6pm ________________________ Join us as international social change advocate, MacLeod guides us into an exploration of ‘inde-script-able’ borders where we are challenged with cultural difference and conflict. bring neglected stories of personal significance, social dissonance and political vision into a dynamic exploration as we dance, draw and write our way into personal and global stories of cultural borders and collapsing boundaries. We welcome diverse world views and cultural identities as we create arts-based responses to cultural issues, enlivening our sense of relatedness to meaningful social action. Join us for this innovative workshop as we invent, improvise and imagine that we can re-write current headlines and in-habit fragile spaces with sensitivity, dignity and creativity. Internationally, she has worked in the context of peace and reconciliation programs with children impacted by war in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and with community health, education and environmental projects throughout India and Central America. In Canada, she designs and facilitates programs which combine the arts, film and multi-media with intercultural conflict resolution and global responsibility .
