Guest guest
Barb, I did not ask her about the drops for sticky eyes. This problem does not bother me constantly. It may have something to do with the humidity here in Texas. Some days it bothers me and some days it does not. Now I use an over the counter product GenTeal Gel at night and GenTeal for Moderate Dry Eye during the day that she suggested several years ago. This morning it does not bother me. We have had several days of windy weather here recently, and then it bothers me more. When I get the samples, I will check with my pharmacist about the long term effects. Guest guest
Norma, Did you eye doctor say if there are any long-term affects from using the prescription drops? My eye doctor told me to use moisturizing drops very sparingly for my dry eye because constant use will only aggravate the dry eye. I usually use a few drops of my son’s contact lens solution when my eye is bothering me a lot. That seems to help. Hope you are feeling better soon. Barb Sticky Eyes and Bronchiectasis and Cystic Fibrosis Dear All, I talked to my ophthalmologist on the telephone today regarding my sticky eyes. I have been using eye moisturizing drops for years for a dry eye condition, but they do not seem to help the sticky feeling. She said that she will give me three different samples of eye drops to try each one for a week to see which one works best. They are prescription drops. I thought someone else may have also noticed this problem. She said that her patients with cystic fibrosis also use these drops. I will let you know what the prescriptions are when I pick them up. I am still recuperating from the bout of strep. pneumonia a few weeks ago and do not want to drive about 15 miles to get them at this time. Guest guest
Hi Becki, It is hard to determine just what my eye problems are at this time. When the eye doctor checked my eyes a few months ago, she said that I need new glasses which I have not been able to get since I had pneumonia a few weeks ago. I also have the beginning of cataracts. Also, I have not had my allergy shots for a few months before I got sick. Perhaps it is all of these. I have small narrow eyes and with my sinus problems, it looks like I can hardly open my eyes when I get up in the morning. Thanks for sharing you and your husband's experiences.
