EGPS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Friday and Saturday, November 16 & 17, 2007

“Mind, Body & Spirit: Creatively Nurturing Groups and Their Leadersâ€

Registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis so get your registration in soon to ensure your first choices. If you have not received your brochure in the mail, please contact the EGPS office at or egpsoptonline (DOT) net. The complete brochure can also be found at www.egps.org.

We are also asking for your assistance in promoting the Conference. If you would like bulk requests for program brochures sent to anyone you think would be interested, please contact the EGPS office for this as well.

Below you will find a suggested "blurb" that can be sent to listservs to which you belong. This is a great way to 'spread the word' about the Conference. Please feel free to adapt it for your audience, by highlighting speakers or presentations that you think your audience might be particularly interested in. Please remember to add your name to the bottom of the blurb and then "Cut and paste" away!

Thanks in advance for your assistance,

Lena Friedman & Marie Rothschild

Co-Chairs, Conference Marketing Sub-Committee

Hi Everyone:

I just wanted to let you know about the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society's Annual Conference which will be held Friday and Saturday, November 16 & 17, 2007 at Riverside Church in Manhattan. This year's Conference will be an exciting opportunity for therapists of all backgrounds to participate in a wide selection of both didactic and experiential workshops, institutes and panel presentations.

The plenary on Friday will be Group Therapy and Spirituality: Expressing the Human Spirit, with Kahn, PhD., as the featured speaker. The plenary on Saturday will be Story-Telling with Playback Theatre: A Spontaneous, Active, Creative Large-Group Experience, with artistic director Hannah Fox, MA.

A small sampling of our dynamic and engaging nationally renowned faculty include: Harold Bernard, Judith Coche, Phyllis Cohen, Lena Furgeri, Ronnie Levine, Marty Livingston, and Fred , representing the many disciplines of mental health providers.

We are all involved in group dynamics in various aspects of our lives. This Conference has something to enhance any agency's or individual's practice. It is not necessary to be running "formal groups" to participate and learn from this experience. This Conference will provide new insights and fresh ideas to enrich your work in any clinical sphere. With almost 50 events to choose from, there is truly something for everyone.

I hope you will join us for this exciting event. The program brochure can be found on the EGPS website at www.egps.org under the Annual Conference section, or you can request a program form the EGPS office at (631)385-0763 or egpsoptonline (DOT) net.

I hope to see you there!!!!
