Guest guest
Hello I've been on Copaxone for almost 2 months. No side effects at all, but I picked it because supposedly there's no depression with it, as there is with the other 3. I know a positive attitude about getting well is imperative so I wanted to avoid depression if I could. Haven't had any flu-like symptoms either. Use auto-inject device which is a breeze so daily shots no problem. Don't know if it's working, though, but I'm giving it a 3 month trial. (Nervous about messing with my immune system) I think I see more cause-and-effect from the way I eat, particularly the low-bad fats part of it. (no red meat, no cooking or eating with skin on chicken & turkey, no dairy fats, no margarine, oils instead...stuff like that.) With the Dr. Swank research & diet so well established, I'm surprised more isn't being said about it here, but I'm new to the group so maybe it's old-hat. I also ask myself, " what am I being cured FOR? " I had gotten way too A-type, busy, constantly in motion, etc. This is my chance to SLOOOOOW DOWN & re-evaluate what I'm doing with my life and I have actually appreciated this reminder. I also appreciate that folks in this group are so supportive of each other, regardless of what we're each doing or trying for health. Nice to have a safe place to discuss alternative methods to those we get from our doctors. Also nice to know we can discuss the AMA and other medical protocols without being jumped on here--that's not always true in healing groups, I'm afraid. Guest guest
Daphne Your email struck such a cord... > I also ask myself, " what am I being cured FOR? That's exactly how I feel. I was running around working hard (so hard, too hard!!!) staying away from home 1 night out of 7 and working long hours. Now I get a chance to 'smell the roses'. This would not be my chosen route to here, but I feel an awful lot wiser now. So I can say it's been absolutlely awful but that some good has come from it. Feeling contemplative after lunch in the pub!!! love Shirley
