Hi, my name is a (Dany) and without being weird I am excited that

I found you guys. I am so sorry so many people have experienced this EN.

I will tell you a bit about my history. I am from Brazil and I believe

between the ages 8 and 10 I had my first episode of EN. Of course

nobody knew what it was, this was between 1980 and 1982. ( I am 35 now)

It was on both my legs, the whole leg including thighs, both arms and

also around my stomach. I was hospitalized and recall being treated

with Penicilin and after 3 days it was gone. But it took 3 to 4 months

to get to that point of treatment, and the doctor who said right away

what it was was my MOTHER'S pediatrician! When all the young

specialists failed, she took me to her old doctor. After that I had

episodes every year, once a year, for about 5 years. They would vary in

lenghth depending on how fast my mom and I could pray! They did go down

in body coverage though, until it would be only on my lower legs. I

moved to Canada in 1999 after getting married to a Canadian in 1998,

and since then I have had 3 or 4 episodes (I have one right now, which

prompted me to research the internet). I told the family doctor what it

was the first time I had it here. He gave me cortizone every time and

it felt better and went away. This time, only one bump showed, but it's

been over a month now, it is still red and hard, which means it is

painful and it's not going away yet. I've put off seeing my doctor

because I have a physical scheduled for the 27th, so I figured, if it

is not gone by then, then I'll ask for something.

Anyway, I am sorry about the long email. And I am so sorry so many

people have to deal with this thing! It is so painful!
