Guest guest
welcome back, june, so pleased to hear that you had (mostly) a good time..........yes it's time to say goodbye to london. jenniferjunefraser2002 wrote: Hello everyone, just to let you know I got back on Monday after a wonderful holiday in Las Vegas and Bahamas. Bit of an up and down holiday as far as health went. Not good in Las Vegas, could only go out for about 3 hours then needed to neb. If I go again I'm going to get a portaneb. Really scared being out and not being able to breathe, I can't help getting a feeling of panic then. Found a wonderful therapist there for massage and treatments which helped. She thought accupuncture would be helpful so I'm going to try that. Managed to get through the flying by taking 5 Prednisolone tablets 6 hours before boarding plane, did the trick. Was great in Bahamas, no asthma (or hay fever for my sons)managed to get down to just 2 nebs a day, no anti b's or steroids. Lots of swimming, rest, good food and high humidity and sea air. Think I should go and live there! Within 1 hour of landing in London I was wheezing again which proves the pollution is a factor. By Wednesday I was back in the doctors surgery, more steroids and antibiotiics. Waiting for the results of yet another sputuum test?? Have started Nature's Sunshine ALJ capsules as recommended on asthma group and Pyconogenol (pine extract)to see if they help. Am I ever going to be able to live without antibiotics. The only time I'm OK is when I take them, my gp wants to see me next week to discuss an on /off regime for anti b's, does any one else do this? Glad to see Maggie is out of hospital, good luck with your recovery, Cheryl what happened about your book? Had 400 e mails when I got home so not yet managed to catch up completely! Also trying to master my new computer which is slowing me down a bit! Oh yes and what is Spiriva, saw you mentioned that last week? Looking forward to catching up on all your posts Love JunePost your free ad now! Yahoo! Guest guest
Hello June, I'm so glad you had a wonderful time, and didn't have too many health problems. The Bahamas sounds like a great place for some much needed rest and relaxation!! I've found that going on holidays is not as breezy as it used to be, by the time I pack nebulisers and a load of medication. However, it's great to get away whatever it takes. I'm on antibiotics all the time now, ciproxin plus inhaled tobramycin to keep the infection down. There is really no other suitable antibiotic to treat my chronic pseudomonas infection, apart from IV's. Ideally, it is better to rotate the antibiotics, or have a few weeks on and off, so that you don't become resistant to them. Take care, June, let's know how you get on with your GP visit. Love Bunny Back from the USA! Hello everyone, just to let you know I got back on Monday after a wonderful holiday in Las Vegas and Bahamas. Bit of an up and down holiday as far as health went.
