Guest guest
, When I’m really having problems, I can feel my lungs hurt in the front and back but I usually feel it in front the most. My doctor always wants to know where I can feel it and checks those areas carefully during examinations. June, I often get an ache on my right side that feels like a runner’s side ache. In fact, it is really hurting right now. I had the doubled over pain before I was diagnosed with bronch and no one could figure out what it was. After a while I just figured that it had something to do with muscles and tissue and how the organs are connected on the right side. It’s good to hear that a doctor actually has an explanation. Barb re lungs hurt Hi everyone, really interested in the comments about your lungs hurt. I have had a constant ache(like toothache) in my right side under my ribs for weeks. When I mentioned it to my usual doctor he was a bit offhand and said it was not cancer so not to worry and I would learn to live with it! How nice! However a lady doctor I saw said if you have inflamation of the tissues in the lung and the muscles supporting them then that causes pain. If I've had a few bad days I can be doubled over with that pain but if I am better it's just a dull ache. Off to the good old USA in 20 hours, thank goodness I am a little better today. Have finally solved our nebulizer problem, my husband cut the US 3 pin plug off the transformer and put an english one on as we have adaptors with 2 pins for US which take English plugs. I was just so stressed out about the whole thing because I've been on the neb so much in the last 48 hours. Love to all June
Guest guest
Barb, When you say your lungs hurt, is it like a backache or can you feel it much deeper than your back? Guest guest
June, the pain you describe sounds to me like pleurisy, which I have had in the past. It's quite painful, actually, and I have had pleurisy pain so bad it has doubled me over. (I've been lucky not to have had it for a number of years, though!!) Guest guest
I also get sharp pains some times but I brush them off as pleurisy pains and then they go away after a couple of days. > >Reply-To: bronchiectasis >To: <bronchiectasis > >Subject: RE: re lungs hurt >Date: Sat, 5 Jun 2004 22:58:48 -0500 > >, > >When I'm really having problems, I can feel my lungs hurt in the front >and back but I usually feel it in front the most.
