Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for always being there for me. I enjoy reading your post, and you always make me feel like I am not alone in having EN (same with the rest of the group!). The steroids were such a waste of time for me, sometimes they work and other times they don't. But the side effects were horrible. I found these potassium Iodide tablets on line. http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/detail?prodid=190658They are probabley weaker than a prescription strength... But, do you think they the same thing? Thank so much. Love and Hugs. Ms. Anjanette Witt (AJ) ( Re: Potassium ???/SSKI=Potassium Iodide Hi AJ,Sorry to hear that the EN returned .Do you mean potassium iodide? It is not homeopathic, but prescription, at least it is here in the USA.Here is the dosing instructions:http://dermnetnz. org/treatments/ potassium- iodide.htmlhttp://carefirst. staywellsolution sonline.com/ Search/26, 498You can buy it under the brand name of PIMA which is in pill form, or as a syrup which you add to juice with a dropper.I hope it helps.Love,idio. Guest guest
Hi AJ. The tablets Ingredients of what you found: Per Tablet: Potassium Iodide 130 mg and the usual dose for EN is 300-900 mg daily in divided doses. I don't think you should take SSKI without getting your thyroid tested first, just to be safe. Some of our members have reported bad reactions to SSKI. But to answer your question, yes I do think that they are the same except for the strength. Love, idio. EN '
