sometimes it's really itchy but it hasn't peeled in a few weeks. Just when I thought it was going away! :(((

Re: Typical EN Symptoms

Hi Sandi,Sorry to hear that. I have had that happen when I stopped restrictingmy activity too soon. I have also had it happen if I scratched the legwhich can get really itchy once the skin starts to peel off. Gross! I have not had severe peeling since I have kept the edema undercontrol and used moisturizer lotions.Shins up!Love, idio. EN '68

Sandi,Are you taking any meds currently? I know the feeling of disappointment. I used to feel disappointed after going on some diet or other thinking I'd figured out what was triggering my EN. But it always came back. The interesting thing is that not a single food is on our Trigger list except Aspertame--which isn't really food but an artificial sweetener. A few people were documented as getting EN from diet soda with Aspertame added.Love,idio. EN '68 You can help Erythema Nodosum Research. No, I haven't been on any meds for a long time, not since before my biopsies. I was sitting in a car for hours on Sat and Sunday, and I always get more swollen when I sit for a long time, like at work. I also was thinking that maybe there was something like MSG in the Thai food that I ate on Monday night! I do use artificial sweeteners every day so I know that doesn't trigger it for me. One good thing is that the bumps are not getting bigger. They flattened out a lot and haven't changed much. It's just the ancle and foot that get swollen. I agree with you that good old fashioned elevation works best!
