Hill-Rom at , and customer service said that if you call them that they will send you a packet of information regarding the vest that you can share with your doctor. I am very pleased with mine. The Vest system consists of an inflatable vest attached to an air pulse generator which rapidly inflates and deflates the vest, gently compressing and releasing the chest wall to create air flow within the lungs. This process moves mucus toward the large airways where it can be cleared by coughing. The generator is about the size of a boom box. Their website is www.thevest.com if you want more information.
