Guest guest
Barb, the Homedics mechanical percussor is model #PA-1. I know someone who purchased one in the States, so maybe you could keep trying!! Good luck. Barbara Erdmann wrote: , I searched my local Walmart for the percussor you talked about without any success. Although I’ve seen the Homedic brand, I think that the laws in the U.S. governing drugs, treatments, and therapies are so strict that it’s not available to us here. I even searched Walmart.com. without any luck. I did see a personal steam treatment machine that looked interesting. I’m sure it was a LOT more expensive that a baby bottle warmer, but it looked a little more convenient with a mask that covered the nose and mouth. I know that I have a bottle warmer somewhere in my attic, but it would be a lot easier just to go out a buy one. (I’m never moving because I’m never going to clean out the attic!) Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the information. I’ll be putting it to good use later on this evening. I just called to make an appointment for my flu shot. Apparently, there is quite a shortage already and only the people with chronic problems are able to schedule appointments. Sometimes the old bronch pays off (ha ha). Barb Re: percussor hi barb, we use the softest of the dome shape options and the slow speed for the 2 minute percussing and high for the deep breaths before coughing. it probably would be best to avoid those sensitive areas. it does a bit of getting used to but it's worth it. roger uses it on me on my lower back and shoulders when i've been doing too much gardening or sewing........ i like it! jennifer Barbara Erdmann wrote: , After searching for quite some time, I was finally able to find the percussor at Walmart that you’ve talked about. I do think that it helps although it doesn’t feel the best around the incision area from my lung surgery. I don’t think that the nerves in that area will ever be quite the same. I have a couple of questions regarding the settings on the percussor. What speed does find the most effective and what about the level of firmness? I am very determined to keep these infections under control. Barb Post your free ad now! Yahoo! Canada Personals
Guest guest
Barb and and everyone else, I have been calling my primary care doctor's nurse frequently inquiring as to when they would be getting the flu vaccine, and they continue to tell me to call back. Late yesterday afternoon, I called my nearby Walgreens Pharmacy, and they told me that they were not giving the flu vaccine this year and the only vaccine clinic was being held at another Walgreens Pharmacy about eight miles away from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. yesterday evening. I rushed over and by the time I arrived, I was 80th in line. Since I had a full day with a doctor's appointment and physical rehab. on my hands, I was already very fatigued. A very nice lady in front of me and the pharmacy manager brought me a chair and then took me down to the area nearest to where they were giving the shots. They even let me go ahead of others. They were all really very wonderful to help me in this way. When I got home and added the date of my shot to my immunization record that I carry with me, I noticed that I got my flu shot last year on the same date. What a coincidence! I hope everyone else is fortunate to be able to get their flu shots without having to stand in line for a long time. Norma in Texas
Guest guest
barb, we got it after our first respirologist suggested i use a sander without the sandpaper on roger's chest and back. roger had given his away so we went to walmart and found it. that's several years ago and we find it very good. pleased to know that you are benefiting from yours. happy shopping~i'd rather be swimming or sewing!! it's better for my wallet i guess~however............i can't pass up a fabric store, i'm a quilter! jenniferBarbara Erdmann wrote: , I’ve been using the percussor from Walmart for 2 weeks and find that it works as well as or better than anything else. How did you come across it in the first place? Did someone suggest it? I’m off now for a long weekend in Minneapolis. We’ll do lots of shopping with my daughter, who I can’t wait to see, and come back much poorer. BarbPost your free ad now! Yahoo! Guest guest
..do you think that you may be suffering from sleep apnia? It occurs when your breathing gets slower and shallower and then stops altogether. Then after a few seconds you gasp and then start breathing again. It can be serious and you should discuss it with your doctor if you thinks that this is happening to you. in Cca.
