Dear a,On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added your information to our "Member Medical History" Files on the Group site and posted it below. You now have Full EN Group privileges. You are receiving ALL EN Group emails, and you may also visit the Erythema Nodosum Group Site:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/ whenever you like by logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password. You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here.I hope you will remain a member here to support others even after you go into remission. Since EN IS NOT BEING ACTIVELY RESEARCHED, please take this opportunity to make a generous donation to our "EN Research Fund" to find a cure for this painful disorder. Instructions have been sent to you. Also, please visit our new Erythema Nodosum Websitehttp://www.geocities.com/erythema_nodosum/ We intend to make it the best EN website on the net.I understand your concern. None of the conditions you have is related to EN, so we must make sure you have been tested for other conditions that are. I assume that you have had a chest x-ray as well as many blood tests and a biopsy of the lumps. This will rule out many common triggers of EN. Please look at our New Website for Triggers and see if any may be what started your EN. Often drugs can trigger EN. Are you allergic to sulphur? Some diabetic meds have sulphur and that could be triggering your EN. Also female hormones can cause EN, so if you are taking HRT that could trigger it. There is a lot to explore and I hope you will avail yourself of all our resources. We should be able to figure this out if we look carefully. Dear , Thankyou so much for answereing my questionaire so fast. I must be an idiot but what is idiopathic EN?? I was looking at all the med's people have taken and I noticed that not too many take Plaquenil, and Dapsone together plus the third med either prednisone or the new one that they are using until December ( Quinacrine ) is the other med. I have had the biopsy on the lump and chest xray and alot of blood work since June of 2006. Yes, I take a # of other drugs, Altace Crestor, metformin, Toprol and Calcium w/vitamin D. Hope this helps. Thanks again. Strecker wrote: Dear a,On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire.
