Hey Everyone

Well I am calling my doc tomarrow...I have turned into a mucus factory and last night I thought I was ER bound for sure I was smothering and in so much pain I couldn't stand it.

Plus the mucus has gotten that weird runny type of consistancy...don't know how to describe it but brownish bubbly stuff that pours out like a fountain...not like the thick mouthfuls of green stuff I cough up when well. Wow...now that sounds retarded...saying Green is good...LOL

I am also havinbg horrible abdominal pain. I don't know how to even describe it.

It all started with this horrible runny nose...ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I did go to Dukes Children's Radiothon yesterday. It was neat. A friend of mine took me to meet some of her old buddies on Peds and now the ones who have aged up to adults. I got to meet the 101.5 staff which was cool. They are all very nice. Beth's been doing the Children's telethons since she was 14 or so. They like for her to speak b/c she is one of the ONLY origional kids left. She has Cystic Fibrosis.

I just don't want to go back in...I got out not even a week ago ! ! ! Plus I have a bridal shower to go to ! ! ! Its like CF is the main part of my life...not by choice and everything else has to be planned around it....GRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well its time for another tylenol...Fever's back up again ! ! !

Becki, I’m thinking of you a lot.

We lost someone in our rehab group last week. Like you, I didn’t know him

well, as he’d only been a few times late last

year, but he’d been incredibly ill this year – in and out of

hospital in rapid succession. It was very numbing to the group – a lot of

whom have similar problems to this gent.

We have someone in our group who has recently had a heart/lung transplant, and

he was incredibly sick until then. Now he’s going great guns and looks so

well. He was only in hospital a few weeks, and now looks so well it’s

hard to believe it’s the same person. He still

comes to rehab, and has been told he

probably should for a very long time. (Every case

is different)

I wish you

well, and hope the wait is not long. It can be very nerve-racking waiting

around.

Cheryl

Hey

All,

Its hard to believe but we'll be moving to Florida in like 2.5 weeks ! !

! I will miss those at rehab here at Duke but can't wait to get down

there. They have had 3 in the last week there at Mayo so I guess my wait will

be next to nothing. Actually I am so nervous, I feel sick....

I mean I knew I wouldn't get called as long as I was in NC and now that I'll be

moving down....it could happen VERY VERY soon ! ! ! In my head I have even had

myself thinking, do I really need one now ? This coming from someone who has

only been off IV's 1 week.

We lost someone at rehab last night. I didn't know him that well but I have

spoken with him and his wife. They were sooo sweet and whatnot. When I was

told, I just felt numb....

I couldn't react....I feel horrible. People probably think Im a horrible

person.. I couldn't cry or anything. I was lost for words. Ive cried for so

many friends this year....

Anyways, I couldn't sleep.I am thinking of the TX and how close its coming, I

mean I never thought Id even get half way to this point. I remember in January

when I got listed I thought that the wait would drive me bananas. I thought May

and June was ages away....

Then with the passing of a rehab member....my mind is going a zillion miles an

hour.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our
