Hi,

Yes, the opening should be on the flat side. Tim Littlefield from

Cranial Tech said this is why:

The side-opening band was designed specifically to treat children

with a significant amount of asymmetry and allows the corrective

forces to be applied diagonally across the cranium (i.e. from right

forehead to left occiput).

I'm assuming your baby is in a DOCband, all of us parents whose

babies are in DOCbands have the opening on the flat side.

Yes, our son has the doc band. Thank you for the answer, we feel much

better now!

What band do you have? DOCband velcro is almost always on the flat side - it

would be a rare instance that it would not be on the flat side.
