Maggie, good luck – we’ll be

thinking of you.

Try not to

worry too much. (I know it’s hard – busy yourself with whatever

else you can.)

Hello, everyone. Sorry I

haven't really been around. I've been so

wrapped up. Anyway, I will be having my lobectomy

on Tuesday, April 20.

I go in at 6am. I only have one week to obsess

over it. I'm terrified.

Thanks again for everyone's kind words and info.

I'll let you know how

it goes.

Maggie,

I have not corresponded for a while as I was in the hospital with pneumonia. I am now at home on antibiotics.

I am your neighbor up in Round Rock, TX. I am praying for you and am glad that your sister from Chicago will be coming in today. I am from Illinois and have two children in Chicago.

With Love and Prayers,

Norma

Maggie,

I got through THAT WEEK by staying busy

and keeping a positive outlook. Don’t

dwell on the ‘what ifs’ because they won’t happen

anyway. The medical staff really

does know what they are doing. How

long will they keep you in the hospital?

We’ll expect to hear from you a couple of days after your release.

I’ll be thinking about you

that morning—are you in the central time zone?

The surgeon said I'd be in ICU for three to four days and then in a

regular room for a week maybe two. So there's no telling when I'll be

back home.

I'm central time in Corpus Christi, TX.

My sister's coming in today from Chicago. She'll be down before,

during, and after the surgery. She'll help me out so much. I'm so glad

she's coming. She'll help keep my mind off things.

Maggie,

Since the surgeon is of Houston caliber and your family is close by, you have certainly made the right choice. I know how hard it is to be in the hospital and away from family and friends.

Much love and prayers for you,

Your Texas neighbor, Norma

The surgery will be in Corpus. Almost everyone I know is horrified I'm

not going to Houston. But the surgeon is of Houston caliber I'm told.

All my family and friends are here. All the support is here.
