Somehow my message got linked with a concerned parent regarding a 5 month old and minimal results after 5 months. Yes, I would def contact the ortho with concerns. The general rule for complete treatment is 4-6 months. However, there are cases due to age/severity when further treatment time may be required Jeff, No, one can't be right all the time. Your message was posted as a trailer after my response to this mom's concern- this is why I addressed you on it specifically- otherwise, I think we are both saying the same things here! How this got so involved, I don't know!!! I think we're both on the same wave length here and I have always stated that many factors come into play when determining how long treatment will take, age, severity, product- all leading to varying results. My only objective when a mom posts that she's frustrated and says she has only seen minimal changes after 5 months, is to raise a red flag and ask the ortho what's up. That's all. And your right, perhaps mom's expectations were high, she has since posted pics and stated that she has seen great rounding taking shape, and I personally do see significant changes in facial asymmetry, shew! Hopefully graduation is near! In any case, I think a lot of great info was shared between us!
