Guest guest
Kathleen, Here is a copy of the covering letter of a package we sent to local media, people from the science and medical world, along with members of Government. We are not expecting all our demands be met. However, we feel the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Therefore, every little bit helps. I can say that more is known about Plagiocephaly since Ben was diagnosed. That has been 8 months. That is a good thing. However, it is by far not addressed the way it should. The treatment, condition and yes, the parents all deserve more respect. I am quite confident that there are not many people, members of the medical community included, who would desire to have their children grow up with a plagio-head if all could have been possibly/most likely prevented.(In utero is not preventable, just wanted to be clear!) Anyway, I am ranting. You are welcome to use some, none, of my letter......Post your free ad now! Canada Personals
Guest guest
Are there school boards there? Often letters to sb reps or a public comment at meetings for these kinds of less tangible issues can have an effect. Judi From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Diane Ferko Sent: Monday, February 08, 2010 7:59 AM Upsndowns Subject: formal complaint Hi, I'll try to make this brief. The van driver and aide reported to me that a teacher from another school was in Nic's (and another boy's ) face for no reason. Apparently one of his students who ride the same van was having a real bad day, she got written up by the driver. When her teacher asked what was going on, she said Nic and were teasing her on the bus. Without asking any questions to the driver, he started laying into them, pointing in their faces etc. I called the principal at her school and Nic's school. The guy said he had said it in a jovial way because he thought he had a " repport " with the boys. The principal said the driver must have either had an axe to grind or misunderstood. Nic's principal flat out said he knows Nic is not capable of teasing anyone so the teacher was wrong to accuse. When I told the driver and aide, they both adamantly stood by their claim also stating cried he was so upset. I sent an email saying I really dont believe the guy was " jovial " and I wanted no further contact between the 2 and I wanted this documented. Are they required to put my emial in this guy's file or do I have to file a formal complaint? How do I go about this. My concern, after thinking about it is, if he treats kids like this in front of witnessess, how does he treat kids when it's just him? What purpose would it serve the driver and aide to exaggerate the story? The driver was reprimanded by her supervisor for telling me in the first place, another issue I have. Said she should report it to her supv who in turn would contact the guy's supv-all bull. The bus co can't even relay a message when Nic is sick and doesn't need to be picked up in the morning. Not a warm fuzzy feeling thinking they would report something they have no connection to. " ok, so a teacher yelled at a student " are they really gonna take the time to make a report? I doubt it, it'll get pushed to the back burner and forgotten about and the parent never knowing anything about it. So I'm open for suggestions Di __________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Free, trusted and rich email service. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/201469228/direct/01/
