Guest guest
Maggie, So sorry to hear that things are not going well for you. I understand how you feel. I sometimes feel that way too, and I am sure that others in this group have or are having those same feelings perhaps now. Please do not give up. I know that is easy for someone else to say, but I have felt like you say you are feeling many times. Believe me I care, and I am sure that others share my feelings, including your family, even though I do not know them. Please hang in there and stay in touch. You are always in my prayers. Good Night and God Bless You, Love, Norma
Guest guest
Maggie, It's Norma again. I forgot to say, "You did not do anything wrong to get this disease." It is not a punishment. We do not understand why some people seem to never have any problems, health, money or whatever. You did not cause this disease. That is the way I felt when I found out that I had breast cancer back in 1989. There was no history of any kind of cancer in my family, but then I got it. My husband's parents both had cancer, but he has not had it. There are some questions that we may never know to answer to. Please do NOT BLAME YOURSELF. You are doing the best you can with a very difficult situation. Love, Norma
Guest guest
Hi Maggie, Norma, Lynne and everyone, So sorry to hear you are having a tough time, Maggie. As Norma and Lynne have said, we can all sympathise with you and have walked the same path at times. Norma and Lynne, I hope you are feeling better my friends. You will get better, Maggie, once the infection settles down. You haven't done anything wrong, these infections are difficult to treat and the doctors need to work out what antibiotic combination is best for you. What IV's are you having for the pseudomonas? I normally have Meropenem and Ceftazidime which is effective against pseudo. Hang in there, be strong, you can beat this bug!! Your family needs you, and we are all praying for your recovery. I hope the New Year brings better health, peace and happiness to you, your loved ones and everyone in the group. Love Bunny
Guest guest
Bunny, I'm taking Gentamyacin with Ceftazidime. I hope this last round kills it. I had a rough day yesterday getting my groshong put it. This is my 3rd central line. I think I'm going to request a port next time, because there probably will be a next time. I won't go into my nightmare procedure yet. I'm still getting over the shock. I'll explain later. Right now I need to go back to sleep.
