Guest guest
and Group; Keeping you updated on my 13 year old Kaitee: We saw a gastroenterologist (I think I've finally learned how to pronounce it...maybe not spell it though!) on Wednesday. He's set us up for a colonoscopy and an endoscopy for this Monday. He'll do some additional blood work at the same time. I'll let you know of the results. Hopefully I'm just a paranoid mom. The good news is Kaitee's legs are much better. The swelling has gone down completely, and her legs are much less sensitive to the touch. As soon as school let out, the EN let up! She's very driven and I'm sure the stress of her grades and assignments contributed to the length of her condition. Keep us in your thoughts/prayers on Monday. Jacki Moody friends. Drama queens. Guest guest
, Kaitee was diagnosed with Crohn's Disese today. It is severe enough that the doctor admitted her to the hospital immediately and started her on heavy doses of steroids. He was very concerned. I am thinking that her run with erythema nodosum was a blessing. I am confident that Kaitee has had Crohn's for three years, but no one took my concerns seriously. It was only by getting on this site and you listening to her symtoms and telling me to see a gastroenterologist that she was diagnosed. The gastroenterologist was alarmed just by looking at Kaitee. Thanks, , for listening and for giving your advice. While Crohn's will be a lifelong challenge, it can be dealt with. Had it progressed any farther, it could have been so much worse. You have been a blessing.
