Prednisone Dosage Question

Did you take 30mg/40mg/60mg in one dose or did you take in 10mg

increment thru out the day?

In my case the Dr started

me at 5 mg, twice a day until the lumps started to recede. When the

redness started to decrease, I started to decrease the prednisone.

Early on 3-5 days @ 5mg BID was working great - but that was over 10

yrs years ago.

Gradually the dosages increased in order to make any effect at all. I

finally called a halt at 60mg BID. All I was getting was nauseous and

the EN lesions were no longer being affected.

The higher the dosage got - the longer it took for the lesions to go

away. 2 yrs ago I had one that started in the ball of my right foot

(mid-May) By Sept it had traveled to the arch and from there it came up

the inside of the arch until it was almost on the upper side of the

foot. I was at 40mg BID through all of that - the lesion its self

finally was entirely got only this spring (late April) when I moved to

60 mgs.
