Hi Elaine,

I noticed your reference to Standford. I just wrote to Dr.

Herschberg there today:

Dear Dr. Hirschberg,

My friend Wayne Hunter gave me your email address.

I understand you are the research head at Stanford and are gearing up

their Sarcoidosis Research Group again.

I am offering my assistance in your research efforts. I founded the

erythema nodosum online support group in 2003

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/

We now have over 1500 members, many of whom have both sarcoidosis and EN.

We recently created an EN Website

http://www.geocities.com/erythema_nodosum/

to help in our EN Research Fund's fundraising efforts through NORD

[National Org. for Rare Disorders]. The site is in it's first stages

and we intend to make it the very best site for EN information online,

as we transfer information from the group site to it.

You are aware that little original research on EN is being undertaken.

It is my hope that you will incorporate EN into your sarcoidosis

research project. Since EN presents in so many related disorders, you

may discover information that is relevant to more than sarcoidosis in

your research.

Thank you for your consideration, and please feel free to contact me

if I can be of any help to you.

Best wishes,

Strecker

I haven't heard back from Drt. Herschberg yet.[i may have to get his

address at Stanford to snail mail him or his FAX to be sure he gets my

msg.]

Do you or your dr's have any connections that might help us to get a

bit of EN research as a by product of Dr. Herschberg's Sarc. research?

I wish I had some research grant money to offer him, but all I can do

is BEG.

Did that bring back memories? ;-)

Love,
