I just got the call from his office. The ACE levels were normal. I guess I should be happy. It is just that another 'cause' has been kicked to the curb. These have been here for about 2+ months for some of the ones on my legs. If there was a cause, then they could treat that, at least I could/would hope.

, I know that you have dealt with this for so long, and with no known cause. It just gets depressing. I did manage to take a number of naps today...from 11 am to about 4...nice Ü It is very hot here in Ca., close to 100 today, which doesn't help.

Hi Debbie and Group,

That's right. Once they determine you are " idiopathic " you are, as you

put it, " kicked to the curb " .

I live in Southern Ca. and it was lovely here today. In the mid 70's.

I live in Orange County near the shore.

The last few days I have been dealing with a problem more upsetting to

me than EN. I worked in my backyard cactus garden Monday and Tues. On

Tues. night my eyelids and face swelled up and got itchy. My vision

was fine, but I looked like Hell. Hubby said it looked like a chemical

burn and that it would probably get better over time on it's own, so I

decided to relax and wait it out. Today I am looking more like myself;

just some patches of swelling on the face left. Hubby was right, and

I am glad I didn't waste my money on the doctor. I have no idea what

caused this as I was wearing my usual 50+ sunscreen, a wide brimmed

hat and sungalsses.

With EN I have had to live my life in spurts. It's a rollercoaster of

flares and remisisons. Lucky for me, the flares are brief and mild. I

wish I could have my DNA tested to see if there is a reason I have

this type of EN. Not that anyone wants EN, but given the suffering I

have seen at this site, I know I have gotten off easy.
