Guest guest
Thanks for this very informative article. I live near Austin, Texas and have a friend whose son-in-law is a pulmonary doctor. He did his residency at Army Hospital in San . He told my friend that bronchiectasis was "just a nuisance" like my pulmonary doctor originally told me, but that infections need to be treated as soon as possible. The next time I see my pulmonary doctor in December after two hospital visits since last January (pneumonia in January and bronchiectasis infection requiring antibiotic IV in July), I wonder if he will still say that. When I was in the hospital in July, he said, "I think that you have had this for a while." I said that is true, but I could not get my primary care doctor to refer me to you. I will let you know what he says. Of course, doctors do not want to say anything bad about another doctor. Thanks for an excellent article.
