FYI - Dr.

Conceta Tomaino is on faculty of the music therapy section. People should

register as soon as possible.

========================================================================

We are happy to announce that we

will be bringing ATTP to New York again

on October 11

- 15, 2006, at Bellevue Hospital.

While ATTP II focuses on

enhancing professional skills in the care of those with

Parkinson disease as ATTP I did,

this program also focuses on interdisciplinary

training specifically designed to

change the way we deliver Parkinson care.

Also new to the program is the

addition of nurses to the participating disciplines.

ATTP II remains a unique,

one-of-a-kind, model, which continues to gain recognition,

and has had a steady growth

trajectory with an increasing demand across the country.

To date, ATTP has an impressive list

of accomplishments:

·

Completed 10 trainings, graduating and certifying more than 453

practitioners and students

·

Enrolled 70 interdisciplinary teams, including the most recent training

in Portland, Oregon, in June

2006

·

Significantly impacted participants, many of whom left the training with

plans to start or revive a Parkinson program

·

Changed their understanding of the impact of Parkinson disease on family

caregivers

As further information on the program,

I have attached our brochure (front and back),

training schedule, and an

application with cover letter.

If you are interested in attending

this training, or any of the other trainings that we are offering,

please fill out the attached application

and return it to me by email.

Also, feel

free to forward this information to anyone you feel may be

interested.

You may contact me directly for any

questions, or go online to: www.parkinson.org.

Just click on

Research/Education/Care, and then go to Allied Team Training.

I hope you can attend, and

I look forward to meeting you!

Best regards,

Maite Moro
