Center for Creative Alternatives presents Transforming Narrative to Dramatic Enactment: Bringing the Story to Life A Drama Therapy Workshop Co-led by Dr. Landy and Nash Saturday, June 17th, 2006 10:00 am – 5:00 pm In this workshop we will explore the stories we tell over and over in our lives, stories we often find ourselves stuck in, with the goal of creating new outcomes. We will focus on how, through dramatic enactment, we can more deeply understand the role we play in our repetitive stories, and imagine ourselves into new possibilities. What are the therapeutic benefits of dramatizing stories? How can we unlock hidden meanings through the dramatic exploration of narrative? How does the dramatization of our stories provide new perspective on old stories? The workshop will combine experiential and didactic reflection and attempt to specify the creative and therapeutic process. Our goal will be to make spontaneous creative decisions in the moment and take a step back in order to clarify the reasons why such choices are made. For Whom______________________.
