Hi Jeff [aka "Mad Scientist" and Group,<<this group is by far the best group i have ever belonged to.>>I take that as the highest compliment because I know you belong to many different groups, Jeff.I learned a lot of organizational skills from my 10 years of working at the social security office. The Yahoo Groups are set up with a nice basic structure that you can add links, files, and photos to. It's just a matter of putting stuff in the right place. I put things were I can hopefully find them later, so I'm happy when anyone tells me they also can navigate the site easily.I have been involved in some interesting "behind the scenes" work this week and soon it will be unveiled. I had a lot of help and I know the group will be pleased at the results. This will hopefully increase our visibility on search engines and help us with our EN Research Funding efforts. I know PG members may feel a bit left out here, but maybe you can think of it as a learning curve because, as I mentioned before, my intention is to first fund EN research and then move on to PG research. We're going to have to help each other here. Many with PG have prior experience with EN, and those of us with EN are aware that it is just by the "Grace of God" that we are not suffering and dealing with the more severe PG. We have more in common than most disorders even if the actual cause is different.Wishing Everyone a Long, Happy and Painfree Memorial Day Weekend!Love, idio. Hi Jeff,You DO contribute!!!If it were not for you our Group would not be a combined EN/PG Group. When we met 4 yrs ago I had no knowledge of PG, and just a little of Crohn's. To be honest I didn't even know all that much about EN. But you took the time to explain to me about your situation and PG. There was no question in my mind that those with PG deserved a place to communicate and share info. Since the EN group was already in place and there were enough commonality between the two disorders it just made sense to take advantage of your expertise, Jeff , to invite other PGers to our EN Group.Yet many of our Group members just want to lurk or ask questions about their own situation. That's ok, but it doesn't help to move the space. Excuse me for using my "est jargon" but I am hoping some of you will get a sense of what I mean. To quote Woody Allan, "A relationship is like a shark. It has to move forward of it dies". Ok. We are all in a relationship, like it or not. We share common illnesses and our lives are affected by it in similar ways. I am interested in moving the space forward. Logically it seems it should go like this:1-Join up2-Ask questions and/or read the site resources3-Reply to other members questions and offer support4-Continue to be a member even after you go into remission5-See what you can do to assist us in reaching our "EN Research Grant" goals.6-Consider joining our sister site:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/enfundraisers/ You Jeff are a "Resource Member" as one who is willing to help others with specific health concerns due to your expertise. You have taken your EN Group membershp to the highest level. I inivite other members to consider how they would like to contribute to this group so that we may indeed build on what we have so far accomplished and together make a difference in the world. Wishing Everyone a Happy and Painfree weekend!Love, idio. EN '68
