Hi All,

I realize this forum is for CAT subjects however since we have so many CATs

from Brooklyn I feel that this is appropriate considering the subject

matter. As some of you may know there are plans in the works to change the

skyline of Brooklyn. Plans to build a new stadium for the NJ Nets.plans

that are really a lucrative real estate venture disguised as a sports arena.

My friend Candace who brought this nightmare to my attention is an attorney

who has donated countless hours pro bono, along with MANY others, to help

fight against this well oiled corporate machine. She is not only an

attorney but also a resident of Park Slope. Despite what the developer

Bruce Ratner claims in the media, the grassroots campaign against this

business venture is charging ahead and making progress but local media has

been slow to promote their successes due to having their own hands in the

pot or knowing someone who does.

Develop-don't' destroy Brooklyn (dddb) needs your help!!! Please visit the

websites below for more information and ways to get involved. If you are

not local there are still ways you can contribute.ie. letter writing.

Every effort counts.every action means a reaction!

I live in Manhattan but after speaking to Candace and receiving quite the

education about what this deal is really about, I am standing up as a New

Yorker to help Brooklyn stay as BEAUTIFUL as it is.
