This meeting is open to all of our membership-- that's you! We also welcome Creative Arts Therapy students to our Open Board Meeting. Specifics: Date: Wednesday, September 20, 2006 Time: 6:30 - 8:00 PM Place: Bellevue Hospital Address & Directions: Bellevue is located at 462 First Avenue at 27th Street. Enter Bellevue Hospital from 1st Avenue. You must go through security and show ID. Go directly to your left to the 8 elevators. Go to the 3rd floor. Exit the elevator towards the restroom (they are directly by the elevators). Towards the left of the restrooms are two doors. Enter either door. This room is known as the classroom. Agenda: Meet and Greet your NYCCAT board members Learn about & help plan upcoming events Help navigate NYCCAT’s future Discussion of open board positions, and how you can get involved Discussion of NYCCAT as dues-paying, member organization Q & A A prime topic of discussion at our September meeting will be NYCCAT’s current evaluation of whether to become a dues paying member organization. This move would be made in an attempt to ensure that we cover our organizational costs in representing all CATs in the state of New York. If you have thoughts, concerns, or questions about this topic, please bring them to the meeting. We are open to your feedback and discussion. NYCCAT is looking to expand our board. Coming to our September Open Board Meeting is a great way to meet the board, and evaluate if you would like to join. Ask what NYCCAT can do for you, AND what you can do for NYCCAT. Below is a list of open and proposed positions that we are looking to fill. Ethics committee Fundraising/planning committee (long range goals) Event planning committee (short range goals, execution) Student Outreach IEP committee PR committee Marketing committee Grantwriting person/committee Government Affairs Committee Insurance Reimbursement Committee Membership Committee Please consider what skills, abilities, strengths and connections that you have that may be an asset to our growing organization. If there is something you would like to bring to NYCCAT that you don’t see on this list, please propose it anyway, but contacting one of our NYCCAT board members. We are open to your creative and ambitious ideas. If you can’t attend our meeting, but are still interested in joining the board, please contact _brandoff@..., or another board member about getting involved.
