Job postings at domestic violence shelter There are two full-time positions available immediately at New Hope Shelter, through Volunteers of America. This is an emergency domestic violence shelter where families reside anywhere from three to six months. The first is a childcare coordinator, whose responsibilities include: supervising childcare staff, modelling teaching for staff, facilitating parenting groups, and training staff and parents on early childhood education as well as the effects of trauma on children. There is also a clinical art therapist position available whose responsibilities include: conducting family intakes with residents,referring residents to services when applicable,providing individual and group therapy to the residents and their children,supervising the recreation manager, and providing trainings to staff. There are many possibilities for conducting trainings, including involvement in the annual domestic violence conference.
