I got my stitches from the biopsy out at the derm's office today.

Left her an invite to join the group here. Then, I went next door to

see Dr. G, my PCP. We discussed the possible reasons for the cough as

well as possible treatments. I was taking Benadryl at night for a few

days to see if it would make a difference as well as needing some help

with sleep. It did seem to help. My cough has gotten better and my

legs are better (sleep is another issue!), although I am still getting

a new lump every now and then. I just can't take the Benadryl in the

daytime because of the drowsy issue.

I started to get some Claritin a couple of days ago, but decided to

wait until I talked to Dr. G. She also feels it is probably allergies

and thought the Claritin would be a good choice to try. She said she

ran tests for AI diseases and they all came back negative. She also

didn't think it was a virus or bacterial. I guess the derm was

thinking some kind of pneumonia. If it had been, the Z-Pak would have

worked. We also discussed Plaquenil. I told her I wasn't crazy about

what I had read about the side effects but if the EN doesn't go away

in a couple of weeks, she wants me to consider it. We'll see. She

knows how I feel about medication!

I gave Dr. G an invitation to join our group, too. We talked a little

about it and she expressed interest, so hopefully, she'll be joining

soon.
