Guest guest
Hi Jeff and Group, Personally I have nothing against Walmarts or Sam's Club. We stock up once a month at Walmarts for cat litter which is about half the price of the grocery store brand. For prescription drugs we go to Costco. We don't have a membership, but as the article says, they must sell to non-members as well. Hubby and I like to think of ourselves as " value shoppers " . We don't mind paying more for quality, and sometimes it's a matter of convenience, but otherwise we prefer to get the most bang for the buck. Like today, we just got back from the 99c Only Store. http://www.99only.com/ It is not like those crumby dollar stores. This place is fantastic. Everything is 99c or multiples for 99c. Name brands, closeouts, grocery items and now produce. With lettuce going for $1.59 a head, we just got two packs of romaine for 99c. Also two packs of red bell peppers, and 4 packs of avocados. Also 99c for 99 minute phone cards. I totally agree with you about needing to stop behaving like sheep. One of the beauties of the American way is that we have a competitive system that works on supply/demand, as you stated. When it comes to high priced drugs, we really need to shop around and get value for our money. As they ask, " What will you do with all the money you save? " ;-) Love, idio.
